Consideration and signature of Resolution #2012-018, transfer of appropriation in the Deschutes
County Public Health Fund.

BACKGROUND AND POLICY IMPLICATIONS:
Consideration of Resolution #2012-018, transfer of appropriation in the Deschutes County Public
Health Fund, to reduce the Personnel Category by $33,751 (.80 FTE). Due to budget constraints, the
Public Health Department will eliminate a Medical Office Assistant position. This FTE is currently
vacant and will not be appropriated in FY 2013.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS:
A transfer of appropriation from Personnel to Contingency for $33,751 is required.
RECOMMENDATION & ACTION REQUESTED:
Approval and signature of Resolution #2012-018.

WHEREAS, attached is a request from the Public Health Department requesting a transfer of
appropriations, and
WHEREAS it is necessary to transfer appropriations within the Deschutes County Budget to
accommodate the request; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF DESCHUTES
COUNTY, OREGON, as follows:

Attached please find an appropriation transfer requesting the removal of a .80 fte medical office assistant. This fte is
currently unfilled and due to budget constraints will be removed from FY 13 during the budget process.
For health benefits trust charges, please make the removal ofthe fte effective March 1, 2012.
