Consideration and signature of Resolution #2012-022, transfer of appropriation in the Deschutes
County Behavioral Health Fund.

BACKGROUND AND POLICY IMPLICATIONS:
Consideration of Resolution #2012-022, transfer of appropriation in the Deschutes County Behavioral
Health Fund, to reduce the Personnel Category by $31,346 (.50 FTE). Due to budget constraints, the
Behavioral Health Department will eliminate a Mental Health Specialist I position. This FTE will not
be appropriated in FY 20l3.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS:
A transfer of appropriation from Personnel to Contingency for $31,346 is required.
RECOMMENDATION & ACTION REQUESTED:
Approval and signature of Resolution #2012-022.

WHEREAS, attached is a request from the Behavioral Health Department requesting a transfer
of appropriations, and
WHEREAS it is necessary to transfer appropriations within the Deschutes County Budget to
accommodate the request; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF DESCHUTES
COUNTY, OREGON, as follows:

Attached please find an appropriation transfer request to remove a .50 Mental Health Specialist I in Fund 275. Our
Developmental Disabilities program is requesting removal of this fte effective Jan. 1, 2012 as the position is not
sustainable in future years.
This position is classed as a MHS I, 16-70, authorization #2.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
