TITLE OF AGENDA ITEM:
Consideration and signature of Resolution #2012-099, transfer of appropriation in the Natural Resource
Protection Fund.
PUBLIC HEARING ON THIS DATE? NO
BACKGROUND AND POLICY IMPLICATIONS:
Consideration of Resolution #2012-099. The FY 2013 budget included appropriation for two full-time
Forester positions. A reduction in Personnel Services appropriation is requested due to the decrease in
staffing from 2.00 FTE to 1.00 FTE. Adjustments also include an addition of On-Call hours for training
and support of the new Forester, and a difference in salary budgeted at Step 2 with actual salary starting
at Step 3.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS:
A transfer of appropriation from Personnel to Contingency and Personnel for $100,497 is necessary.
RECOMMENDATION & ACTION REQUESTED:
Approval and signature of Resolution #2012-099.

WHEREAS, attached is an e-mail requesting a transfer of appropriations, and
WHEREAS it is necessary to transfer appropriations within the Deschutes County Budget to
accommodate the request; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF DESCHUTES
