Consideration of Board Signature of Document 2012-487, Second Lease Amendment, between
Deschutes County, Lessor, and Bethlehem Inn, Lessee.

BACKGROUND AND POLICY IMPLICATIONS:
In 2011, Deschutes County leased the building at 3705 North Highway 97, Bend, to Bethlehem Inn.
Bethlehem Inn provides shelter and comprehensive services for homeless families and single adults in
Central Oregon. This second amendment will extend the lease for two years upon the same terms as the
original lease.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS:
Annual rental income is $24,408.00.

SECOND LEASE AMENDMENT
THIS LEASE AMENDMENT is made and entered into by and between DESCHUTES
COUN1Y ("Lessor") and BETHLEHEM INN ("Lessee'j.
WIT N E SSE T H:
WHEREAS, Lessor and Lessee entered into a Lease (DC 2011-004) with a commencement
date of July 1,2010, for property located at 3705 N. Hwy 97, Bend, Deschutes County. Oregon, and
WHEREAS. Lessor and Lessee entered into a Lease Amendment (DC 2011-171). and
WHEREAS, Lessor and Lessee wish to extend the term of the Lease;
NOW, THEREFORE, Lessor and Lessee agree that the Lease is hereby amended to read
as follows:
Section 1.3 Term: Four (4) years, commencing on July 1, 2010 (the "Commencement
Date). and ending June 30, 2014, provided Lessee is not in default beyond any applicable
notice and cure periods.
In all other respeds the Lease shall be and remain in full force and effed.
