TITLE OF AGENDA ITEM:
Consideration and signature of Resolution #2012-105, transfer of appropriations in the Adult Parole &
Probation Fund.
PUBLIC HEARING ON THIS DATE? NO
BACKGROUND AND POLICY IMPLICATIONS:
Consideration of Resolution #2012-105, transferring appropriations within the Adult Parole &
Probation Fund. Due to recent employee layoffs, the department's Cognitive Restructuring Programs
have been reduced, making it is necessary to outsource these programs. This change was not anticipated
at the time the FY 2013 budget was adopted.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS:
A transfer of appropriation from Contingency to Materials & Service for $15,000 is required.
RECOMMENDATION & ACTION REQUESTED:
Approval and signature of Resolution #2012-105.

Within the Various Funds of the 2012-2013 RESOLUTION NO. 2012-105 *
Deschutes County Budget and Directing Entries *
WHEREAS, attached is a document from the Adult Parole & Probation Department requesting
a transfer of appropriations, and
WHEREAS it is necessary to transfer appropriations within the Deschutes County Budget to
accommodate the request; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF DESCHUTES
COUNTY, OREGON, as follows:
Section 1. That the following transfers of appropriations be made:
FROM: 355-8200-501.97-01 Deschutes County Adult Parole & Probation,
Contingency $ 15,000
TO: 355-8200-423.33-26 Deschutes County Adult Parole & Probation,
Couseling - A & D Treatment $ 15,000
Section 2. That the Finance Director make the appropriate entries in the Deschutes County
Budget document to show the above appropriations.

Please see the attached appropriation transfer request. It is necessary to transfer funds from contingency to cover the
unanticipated expense of out sourcing MRT classes resulting form the reduction of work force in the parole and
