TITLE OF AGENDA ITEM:
Consideration and signature of Resolution #2012-108, transfer of appropriation in the Deschutes
County Public Health Fund.

BACKGROUND AND POLICY IMPLICATIONS:
Consideration of Resolution #2012-108. The Public Health Department will eliminate a Health
Educator II (1.00 FTE) and hire a Public Health Nurse II postion (.80 FTE) to work in the
Communicable Disease Program. This change was not anticipated at the time the FY 2013 budget was
adopted.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS:
A transfer of appropriation within the Personnel category is required and a transfer of $21 ,912 from
Contingency to the Personnel category is required.
RECOMMENDATION & ACTION REQUESTED:
Approval and signature of Resolution #2012-108.

Deschutes County Budget and Directing Entries *
WHEREAS, attached is a request from the Public Health Department requesting a transfer of
appropriations, and
WHEREAS it is necessary to transfer appropriations within the Deschutes County Budget to
accommodate the request; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF DESCHUTES
COUNTY, OREGON, as follows:
Section 1. That the following transfers of appropriations be made:
