PUBLIC HEARING ON THIS DATE? Yes. BACKGROUND AND POLICY IMPLICATIONS: On August 20, 2012, the Board of County Commissioners adopted Ordinance 2012-012 to amend the Deschutes County Comprehensive Plan to adopt the City of La Pine's new UGB. In order to codify the above described Plan amendments, a reference to the amendments must be included in Deschutes County Code, DCC 23.01. This provision was inadvertently omitted from the ordinance adopting the Comprehensive Plan Amendments FISCAL IMPLICATIONS: None. RECOMMENDATION & ACTION REQUESTED: Hold the public hearing. REVIEWED LEGAL COUNSEL For Recording Stamp Only BEFORE THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF DESCHUTES COUNTY, OREGON An Ordinance Amending Deschutes County * Code 23.01 to Add Reference to Newly Adopted * ORDINANCE NO. 2012-013 Deschutes County Comprehensive Plan * Amendments for City ofLa Pine Urban Growth * Boundary, and Declaring an Emergency. * WHEREAS, on August 20, 2012, the Board of County Commissioners ("Board") adopted Ordinance 2012-012 to amend the Deschutes County Comprehensive Plan ("Plan") to adopt the City of La Pine's new urban growth boundary; and WHEREAS, in order to codify the above described Plan amendments, a reference to amendments must be included in Deschutes County Code ("DCC") 23.01; WHEREAS, because the above Plan amendments were adopted by emergency, this Code reference should be adopted by emergency; now, therefore, THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF DESCHUTES COUNTY, OREGON, ORDAINS as follows: Section 1. AMENDMENT. DCC 23.01 is amended to read as described in Exhibit "A," attached hereto and by this reference incorporated herein, with new language underlined and language to be deleted in stfilcetflFOtigh. The Deschutes County Comprehensive Plan, adopted by the Board in Ordinance 2011-003 and found on the Deschutes County Community Development Department website, is incQrporated by reference herein. B.
