BACKGROUND AND POLICY IMPLICATIONS:
IGA #3954 provides for Deschutes County to receive funding from the State Department of Corrections
for the administration of Community Corrections. The amount of this funding is being reduced.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS:
The Corrections grant from the State to the County for the 2009/2011 biennium is being reduced from
$9,961,746 to $9,661,254 (about $180,000 from Parole & Probation).
RECOMMENDATION & ACTION REQUESTED:
Approve Chair signature of the Amendment.

AMENDMENT No. 2 to
INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT /3954
between
STATE OF OREGON
DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS
and
DESCHUTES COUNTY
This Amendment No. 2 (the'Amendmenr), effective as of the last date of signature below, to Intergovernmental Agreement
No. *3954, effective date of last signature, (the 'Agreement') is entered int between the State of Oregon acting by and through
its Department of Corrections ('DEPARTMENT'), and DESCHUTES County ('COUNTY').
1 The Agreement is hereby amended to decrease the Budget Summary and modify COUNTY'S allocation contact as follows.
(New language is ogrmak and deleted language is (bracketed):
1.1 Part I. Definitions, Section C of the Agreement is hereby amended as follows:
T. Budget Summanr: The part of the County Corrections Plan that refect the amount of County
Corrections Grant funds granted by DEPARTMENT to COUNTY to implement the programs in the Plan.
The Budget Summery is attached to this Agreement as Exhibit A. For the Period of July 1, 2009 through
March 31.2011. the maximum. not -to -exceed amount to the COUNTY under this Agreement is
$9.961.746. For the Period of April 1.2011 through June 30.2011, to maximum. not -to -exceed amount to
the COUNTY under this Aoreement is S9.661.254,'
1.2 Section VII. Funds, Section D of the Agreement is hereby deleted in its entirety and replaced as follows:

1.3 Wtit A, Budget Summary, to the Agreement is deleted and is replaced with the Exhibit A attached hereto.

2. Except as expressly amended above, all other terms and conditions of the Agreement are still in full effect. COUNTY
certifies that the representations, warranties and certifications contained in the Agreement are true and correct as of the effective
date of this Amendment and with the same effect as though made Who time of this Amendment
3. This Amendment may be executed in any number of counterparts, by facsimile or otherwise, each of which shall be deemed
to to an original, but all together shall constitute but one and the same instrument
4. Capitalized term used but not defined herein have the meanings ascribed in the Agreement
