Consideration and signature of Resolution #2011-026, transfer of appropriation in the Deschutes
County Behavioral Health Fund.

BACKGROUND AND POLICY IMPLICATIONS:
Consideration of Resolution #2011-026, transfer of appropriation in the Deschutes County Behavioral
Health Fund, to reduce the Personnel Category by $57,476 (.75 FTE). The Devopmental Disabilities
Protective Services Program has been transferred to Crook County. As a result, the FTE for two Mental
Health Specialist I positions will be reduced.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS:
A transfer of appropriation from Personnel to Contingency for $57,476 is required.
RECOMMENDATION & ACTION REQUESTED:
Approval and signature of Resolution #2011-026.

WHEREAS, attached is a request from the Behavioral Health Department requesting a transfer
of appropriations, and
WHEREAS it is necessary to transfer appropriations within the Deschutes County Budget to
accommodate the request; now therefore,

Attached please find an appropriation transfer regarding a reduction of FTE to our current budget in Fund 275 effective
March 1, 2011. Per approval from Dave Kanner, we will be reducing our fte by .75 MHS I. Services for our
developmental disabilities protective services program are being transferred to Crook County. The reduction will affect
Ron Snook, .25 fte and Greg Bland, .50 fte.
Please adjust our health benefits actual to budget transfer for the time period March 1, 2011 through June 30, 2011.
