TITLE OF AGENDA ITEM:
Consideration and signature of Resolution #2011-098, transfer of appropriations in the Public Health
Fund.
PUBLIC HEARING ON THIS DATE? NO
BACKGROUND AND POLICY IMPLICATIONS:
Consideration of Resolution #2011-098. An increase in the Materials & Service category is required
because expenditures for minor office equipment were not anticipated at the time the FY 2011 budget
was adopted.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS:
A transfer of appropriation from Contingency to Materials & Service for $32,000 is required.
RECOMMENDATION & ACTION REQUESTED:
Approval and signature of Resolution #2011-098.

A Resolution Transferring Appropriations
Within the Various Funds of the 2010-2011 * RESOLUTION NO. 2011-098
Deschutes County Budget and Directing Entries *
WHEREAS, attached is an e-mail from the Public Health Department requesting a transfer of
appropriations, and
WHEREAS it is necessary to transfer appropriations within the Deschutes County Budget to
accommodate the request; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF DESCHUTES
COUNTY, OREGON, as follows:
Section 1. That the following transfers of appropriations be made:
FROM: 259-2000-501.97-01 Deschutes County Public Health,
Contingency
TO: 259-2000-441.66-65 Deschutes County Public Health,
Minor Office Equipment

Section 2. That the Finance Director make the appropriate entries in the Deschutes County
Budget document to show the above appropriations.

Attached please find an appropriation transfer requesting a transfer of appropriation from contingency to materials and
services in Fund 276 - Acute Care. During FY 11, we had material and services expenditures that were unknown during
our FY 11 budgeting process.
