TITLE OF AGENDA ITEM:
Consideration and signature of Resolution #2011-115, transfer of appropriations in the OHP-Chemical
Dependency Fund.
PUBLIC HEARING ON THIS DATE? NO
BACKGROUND AND POLICY IMPLICATIONS:
Consideration ofResolution #2011-115. Additional resources will be available in the OHP-Chemical
Dependency Fund which were not anticipated at the time the FY 2012 budget was adopted. These
resources will be used to perform health instruction on the subject of alcohol, tobacco and other drugs
related to adolescent risk behaviors.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS:
A transfer of appropriation from Contingency to Materials & Service for $25,000 is required.
RECOMMENDATION & ACTION REQUESTED:
Approval and signature of Resolution #2011-115.

A Resolution Transferring Appropriations *
Within the Various Funds of the 2011-2012 * RESOLUTION NO. 2011-115
Deschutes County Budget and Directing Entries *
WHEREAS, attached is a request from the Behavioral Health Department requesting a transfer
of appropriations, and
WHEREAS it is necessary to transfer appropriations within the Deschutes County Budget to
accommodate the request; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF DESCHUTES
COUNTY, OREGON, as follows:
Section 1. That the following transfers of appropriations be made:
FROM: 280-2200-501.97-01 Deschutes County OHP-Chemical Dependency,
Contingency $ 25,000
TO: 280-2200-444.34-40 Deschutes County OHP-Chemical Dependency,
Transportation $ 5,000
TO: 280-2200-444.59-35 Deschutes County OHP-Chemical Dependency,
OCCF Programs $ 20,000
Section 2. That the Finance Director make the appropriate entries in the Deschutes County
Budget document to show the above appropriations.

Subject: Fund 280 appropriation transfer request
Attached please find an appropriation transfer request for Fund 280. This request is for a $20,000 grant to Commission
on Families and Children for alcohol and drug prevention and to purchase transportation for our OHP clients enrolled in
our Summer Blast program.
Judi and Loretta,
It has not been determined whether this transfer to CFC will occur via an AP voucher or a quarterly journal. I will let you
know when I learn the details.

Request for appropriation to provide transporation for OHP youth to our Summer Blast program in the amount of $5,000.
Additionally, Health Services is granting our Commission on Families and Children Dept. $20,000 to perform health instruction on the subject of
alcohol, tobacco and other drugs related to adolescent risk behaviors.
This appropriation transfer is requested for FY 12.
