I Consideration and signature of Resolution #2011-127, transfer of appropriation in the Behavioral
Health Fund.

BACKGROUND AND POLICY IMPLICATIONS:
Consideration of Resolution #2011-127. The Behaviroal Health Department will increase the Personnel
Category by $11,561. In FY 2012, a Secretary (1.00 FTE) was allocated 25175 between Behavioral
Health & Public Health. After considering the tasks performed by this position, the Behavioral Health
allocation will be increased to .50 FTE and allocated 50/50 to Public Health & Behavioral Health. This
resolution authorizes an increase ofFTE in Behavioral Health from .25 FTE to .50 FTE. This change
was not anticipated at the time of the FY 2012 budget.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS:
A transfer of appropriation from Contingency to Personnel for $11,561 is required.
RECOMMENDATION & ACTION REQUESTED:
Approval and signature of Resolution #2011-127.

WHEREAS, attached is a document from the Behavioral Health Department requesting a
transfer of appropriations, and
WHEREAS it is necessary to transfer appropriations within the Deschutes County Budget to
accommodate the request; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF DESCHUTES
COUNTY, OREGON, as follows:

Attached please find two appropriation transfer requests to reallocate a secretary fte between Fund 259 and Fund 275.
A 1.00 secretary fte was added during the FY 12 budget process, .25 to Fund 275 and .75 to Fund 259. After considering
the tasks performed by this position, it has been determined that the fte should be allocated .50 to Fund 275 and .50 to
Fund 259.
Diane Skinner has been hired in the position.
Lacy there are two tabs in the workbook for the request in each Fund.
Teri -the third tab of this workbook details the project code allocation for payroll purposes.

Subject: Appropriation transfers FY 12 -BH HE removal
Attached please find an appropriation transfer request to remove a .60 MHS II fte due to the elimination of funding from
a State grant for behavioral health screenings for DHS TANF clients.
This HE was vacated July 1,2011.
