Consideration and signature of Resolution #2010-024, transfer of appropriations in the Behavioral
Health Fund.

BACKGROUND AND POLICY IMPLICATIONS:
Consideration of Resolution #2010-024 transferring appropriations within the Behavioral Health Fi .nd.
The Behavioral Health Department needs to increase personnel by 1.00 FTE for a Mental Health
Specialist II. This position will exclusively serve clients in North and South County. The increase i 1
personnel was anticipated to be included in the FY 2011 budget, however current caseload require an
additional teammember prior to July 1, 2010.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS:
A transfer of appropriation from Contingency to Personnel in the amount of $68,299 is required.
RECOMMENDATION & ACTION REQUESTED:
Approval and signature of Resolution #2010-024.

Attached please find an appropriation transfer requesting an increase of ..00
FTE to our current Behavioral Health budget. Per verbal approval from Dave Kanner, h° has
given us permission to hire a MHS II to service clients in either north or south county.
This FTE was scheduled to be added through the FY 11 budget process, however, it has .)een
determined that our client caseloads require the addition prior to July 1, 2010.
