Consideration and signature of Resolution #2010-127, transfer of appropriations in the Adult Parole &
Probation Fund.

BACKGROUND AND POLICY IMPLICATIONS:
Consideration of Resolution #2010-127 transferring appropriations within the Adult Parole & Probation
Fund. The Adult Parole & Probation Department will increase the Personnel category by $20,358
(.25 FTE). Currently, a Community Justice Specialist (1.00 FTE) is allocated 50/50 between Juvenile &
Adult Parole & Probation. Effective October 1, 2010 this position will be reduced to .75 FTE and will
be allocated 100% to Adult Parole & Probation resulting in an increase of .25 FTE in this fund. This
change was not ancipated at the time of the FY 2011 budget adoption.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS:
A transfer of appropriation from Contingency to Personnel for $20,358 is required.

Within the Various Funds of the 2010-2011 * RESOLUTION NO. 2010-127
Deschutes County Budget and Directing Entries *
WHEREAS, attached is a document from the Adult Parole & Probation Department requesting
a transfer of appropriations, and
WHEREAS it is necessary to transfer appropriations within the Deschutes County Budget to
accommodate the request; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF DESCHUTES
COUNTY, OREGON, as follows:

Attached is a file containing two appropriation request worksheets which adds the .25 FTE
for Richard Gorby to Fund 355 and reduces a .25 FTE of the .50 FTE budgeted for him in
Fund 230.
Please review the forms and if they reflect the changes as you requested, forward them to
Marty Wynne and Lacy Nichols to prepare the resolution for the budget changes.
