PUBLIC HEARING ON THIS DATE? No BACKGROUND AND POLICY IMPLICATIONS: At public auction March 20, 2008, John Sidman was declared successful bidder for the parcel commonly known as 17383 Kingfisher Drive, Bend. Deschutes County offered financing for the transaction and Mr. Sidman paid $11,200.00 cash as a down payment and signed a Trust Deed and a Promissory Note for $44,800.00. On December 6, 2010, the Finance Department advised us that Mr. Sidman had paid the balance owing in full and had requested a Deed of Reconveyance. As Trustee, Mark Pilliod, Deschutes County Legal Counsel, must execute the Deed of Reconveyance. FISCAL IMPLICATIONS: Finance Department received a final payoff in the amount of $51,342.25. RECOMMENDATION & ACTION REQUESTED: Staff recommends signature by County Counsel of Document 2010-733.
