PUBLIC HEARING ON THIS DATE? NO BACKGROUND AND POLICY IMPLICATIONS: Consideration of Resolution #2010-132. The County will issue a credit card to the Health Services Department for use limited to "credentialing". FISCAL IMPLICATIONS: Expenditure volume is expected to be the same. ATTENDANCE: Marty Wynne DISTRIBUTION OF DOCUMENTS: Marty Wynne, Finance Department 388-6559 Scott Johnson, Behavioral Health 322-7502 Sherri Pinner, Behavioral Health 322-7509 REVIEWED LEGAL COUNSEL For Recording Stamp Only BEFORE THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF DESCHUTES COUNTY, OREGON A Resolution Authorizing a County Issued Credit Card for the Health Services Department * RESOLUTION NO. 2010-132 * WHEREAS, attached is an e-mail from the Health Services Department requesting the issuance of a credit card, and WHEREAS, the Health Services Department is required to pay for certain "credentialing" costs over the Internet, using a credit card, and WHEREAS the County will provide a credit card for use limited to expenditures for "credentialing"; now therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF DESCHUTES COUNTY, OREGON, as follows: Section 1. The following guidelines will apply: a. In no event, will such credit card be used for any expenditure other than those specifically for "credentialing". b. The Finance Department will order the credit card for the Health Services Department, with a limit of $2,500.00. This limit may be increased in the future commensurate with actual experience. c. The Health Services Department will be responsible to ensure that all necessary documentation is submitted to Finance, to be attached to the pay voucher related to credit card payments. d. Pay vouchers related to credit card payments must be submitted in a timely manner to avoid any late payment charges. e. The credit card will be issued in the name of the Department, with the understanding that the Health Services Department will have a written policy as to who will be authorized to make required expenditures and how the credit card will be used in the credentialing process, and how the credit card will be secured. Would you pull the resolution that was approved for the Sheriff's credit card -- let's use that as a template for this. Thanks.
