DATE: December 2, 2010 FROM: Marty Wynne Finance (541) 388-6559 TITLE OF AGENDA ITEM: Consideration and signature of Resolution #2010-133, appropriating a new grant in the Deschutes County Behavioral Health Fund. PUBLIC HEARING ON THIS DATE? NO BACKGROUND AND POLICY IMPLICATIONS: Consideration of Resolution #2010-133. The Behavioral Health Department was awarded additional funding in the amount of $523,571 to provide rent subsidy & rehabilitative services for five beds at the Edgecliff House & five beds at the 12` Street House. Rehabilitative services include, but are not limited to, stabilization services, management of personal money or expenses, life skills training with nutritional wellness, personal hygiene, clothing care, grooming, communication with social skills, health care, household management and supervision of medications. These funds will be passed through to Telecare. FISCAL IMPLICATIONS: The County will receive an additional $523,571 from the Oregon Department of Human Services as part of an amendment to the Intergovernmental Agreement. This funding will provide additional resources not included in the FY 2011 Adopted Budget. RECOMMENDATION & ACTION REQUESTED: Approval and signature of Resolution #2010-133. OREGON, as follows: Section 1. That the following grants be budgeted: Revenue 275-0000-334.12-00 State Grant $ 523,571 TOTAL REVENUE: $ 523,571 Section 2. Attached please find a budget resolution requesting an increase to materials and services in Fund 275. Our Department of Human Services amendment #127295-34 includes revenues for our residential treatment services contracted to Telecare. These funds represent an annual allotment for 5 beds at our Edgecliff House and five beds at our 12th Street House for rent subsidy and rehabilitative services.
