TITLE OF AGENDA ITEM:
Consideration and signature of Resolution #2010-143, transfer of appropriations in the Behavioral
Health Fund.
PUBLIC HEARING ON THIS DATE? NO
BACKGROUND AND POLICY IMPLICATIONS:
Consideration of Resolution #2010-143. The Behavioral Health Department has the need to purchase a
vehicle for use in the Early Assessment and Support Alliance (EASA) program. The State has recently
relocated the program to the downtown Bend area thus requiring transportation. The vehicle will be
used to serve residents across the Tri -County area. This expenditure was not anticipated at the time of
the FY 2011 original budget.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS:
A transfer of appropriation from Contingency to Materials & Service for $26,000 is required.
RECOMMENDATION & ACTION REQUESTED:
Approval and signature of Resolution #2010-143.

Within the Various Funds of the 2010-2011 * RESOLUTION NO. 2010-143
Deschutes County Budget and Directing Entries *
WHEREAS, attached is an e-mail from the Behavioral Health Department requesting a transfer
of appropriations, and
WHEREAS it is necessary to transfer appropriations within the Deschutes County Budget to
accommodate the request; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF DESCHUTES
COUNTY, OREGON, as follows:
Section 1. That the following transfers of appropriations be made:
FROM: 275-2200-501.97-01 Deschutes County Behavioral Health,
Contingency
TO: 275-2200-444.94-22 Deschutes County Behavioral Health,
Automobiles & SUVs

Section 2. That the Finance Director make the appropriate entries in the Deschutes County
Budget document to show the above appropriations.

Marty,
Please see attached appropriation transfer request for the purchase of a vehicle out of fund
275. Request is for purchase of a Toyota Prius for use in the Early Assessment and Support
Alliance (EASA) program. The State recently required program to relocate to a more
accessible location downtown and there was not a car available for the new location.
Additionally this program serves the Tri -County areas (Deschutes, Crook and Jefferson
counties). The Capital Outlay Expenditure Authorization Form has been submitted.
