BACKGROUND AND POLICY IMPLICATIONS:
Consideration of Resolution #2009 -009, appropriating a new grant for the Deschutes County Mentl..1
Health Department. The Mental Health Department will receive additional funding from the State i,1
order to increase a Mental Health Specialist I postion to a 1.00 FTE from a .80 FTE (an increase of .20
FTE). Resources from this award will also be used to fund the newly created Community
Developmental Disabilities Program. This program will allow the Mental Health Department to pr( vide
more developmental disability services to the community.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS:
This of appropriation additional grant resources authorizes an additional $73,743 to be expended it FY
2009.

WHEREAS, Deschutes County Mental Health Department will receive new Federal gra It
revenue totaling $73,743; and
WHEREAS, these new grant funds need to be appropriated; and
WHEREAS, ORS 294.326(2) allows the appropriation and expenditures of new grant funds
designated to specific purposes; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF DESCHUTES
COUNTY, OREGON, as follows:

Intergovernmental Agreement with the Oregon Department of Human Services, Deschutes County
document #2009 -030.
Deschutes County Mental Health has received additional funding to achieve the newly
