TITLE OF AGENDA ITEM:
Consideration of signature by County Administrator of Document 2009 -147, an amendment to an
exsiting lease with the Latino Community Association.

BACKGROUND AND POLICY IMPLICATIONS:
The Latino Community Association (LCA) provides services that include referrals for basic services
and assistance, emergency loans and a monthly dental clinic for the Deschutes County Latino
community as well as education and translation services to the entire community. The nonprofit
organization has occupied approximately 200 square feet of office space at 1130 NW Harriman since
April 2007.
The LCA wishes to remain in the office space for an additional year and to pay the same rent.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS:
Annual rental revenue will be $2,400.00
RECOMMENDATION & ACTION REQUESTED:
Staff recommends signature by the County Administrator of Document 2009 -147.

LEASE AMENDMENT
THIS LEASE AMENDMENT is made and entered into by and between
DESCHUTES COUNTY ( "Lessor ") and LATINO COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION ( "Lessee ")
WITNESSETH:
WHEREAS, Lessor and Lessee entered into a Lease (DC 2008 -125) with an
effective date of April 1, 2008 ( "the Lease"); and
WHEREAS, the parties desire to amend the term of the Lease;
NOW, THEREFORE, the parties agree that the Lease is hereby amended to read as
follows:
1. Term: The effective date of this Lease shall be April 1, 2008, or the date on which each
party has signed this Lease, whichever is later, and shall continue until March 31, 2010, or
twenty -four (24) months.
Except as otherwise provided in this Addendum, the terms and conditions of the
Lease remain in effect.
The parties have executed this Lease the day of , 2009.
