BACKGROUND AND POLICY IMPLICATIONS:
The purpose of this deed is to correct an error discovered by the cartography group. Deschutes Cot my
took title to real property (portion of Lot 67, Block 16, Deschutes River Recreation Homesites) by
Special Warranty Deed in 1978. It appears that the property was purchased for road purposes but never
dedicated as such. The planning and road departments agree that the parcel should be dedicated to the
public for road and utility purposes.

RECOMMENDATION & ACTION REQUESTED:
Staff recommends signature of Document 2009 -340.

DEED OF DEDICATION
Deschutes County, a political subdivision of the State of Oregon, Grantor, does hereby
dedicate to the public for roadway and utility purposes the following described property
That portion of Block Sixteen (16), beginning at the Northeast corner of Lot Sixty -Seven (67);
thence South 12° 23' West 226.42 feet along the Easterly boundary of said Lot 67; thence
South 89° 42' West 15.24 feet along the Southerly boundary of Lot 67; thence North 16° 05'
08" East 230.25 feet to the point of beginning. Located in the Deschutes River Recreation
Homesites subdivision, Deschutes County, Oregon.
