Present were Commissioners Tammy Baney, Dennis R. Luke and Alan Unger.
Also present were Dave Kanner, County Administrator; Tom Blust, Road
Department; and three other citizens. No representatives of the media were in
attendance.
Chair Baney opened the meeting at 10:00 a.m.
1. Before the Board was Citizen Input.

2. Before the Board was Consideration of Chair Signature of Document No.
2009 -393, a Notice of Intent to Award Contract Letter for the Full Depth
Reclamation of Masten Road, La Pine.
Tom Blust explained that this project involves reclaiming and overlaying about
six miles of Masten Road, which is now in poor condition. This will be the first
time his department will use the reclamation process, using some of the existing
material, instead of replacing it all. The asphalt is also different and more
"green ". He will keep the Board advised on how well the new process and
material works over time.
Seven days are allowed for protest, and Hooker Creek was the low bidder.
Commissioner Unger asked what the traffic load is on Masten Road. Mr. Blust
stated it is a collector in the system and serves a few subdivisions, some
additional lots, and an area of private timberland from which timber products
are removed.
