PUBLIC HEARING ON THIS DATE? No BACKGROUND AND POLICY IMPLICATIONS: The Portland State University School of Social Work (SSW) offers a full spectrum of social work education. The SSW provides the only Masters and PhD of Social Work Programs in Oregon. SSW began leasing approximately 2,300 square feet of space at the Juvenile Community Justice Building in Bend last September. They use the space for a classroom and offices. As rent, SSW p.tys $100.00 per month and the master's program students provide service for the Juvenile Department clients during the term of the lease. This amendment extends the lease one year. FISCAL IMPLICATIONS: Annual rental income is $1,200.00. RECOMMENDATION & ACTION REQUESTED: Staff recomments signature by the county administrator. Term and Renewal: The effective date of this Lease shall be September 1, 2008, or the date on which each party has signed this Lease, whichever is later, and shall continue until June 30, 2010, or twenty -two (22) months. Lessor and Lessee each reserve the right to terminate this Lease prior to its expiration with thirty (30) days written notice, given to the other party. cR51X 5. Restrictions on Use. f) Comply with Lessor's policies regarding smoking, parking, fragrances, facilities maintenance, facilities use and violence in the workplace. Those policies are attached to this Lease as Exhibit A and b this reference are incorporated herein. Except as otherwise provided in this Addendum, the terms and conditions of the Agreement remain in effect.
