Consideration of signature by county administrator of Document 2009 -404, a Lease Amendment
between Deschutes County and Accountable Behavioral Health Alliance.

BACKGROUND AND POLICY IMPLICATIONS:
Accountable Behavioral Health Alliance (ABHA) is an intergovernmental organization formed by
Benton, Crook, Deschutes, Jefferson, and Lincoln Counties. ABHA's purpose is to manage the
behavioral health care needs of Oregon Health Plan members in the five counties.
ABHA has served Deschutes County clients in approximately 2,300 square feet of office space in the
Deschutes Services Building since 2006. They share use of the space with the Deschutes County
Mental Health Senior Program. This amendment extends the lease three years.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS:
Annual rental income is $6,778.00.

Staff recomments signature by the county administrator.

EGAL COUNSEL
LEASE AMENDMENT
THIS LEASE AMENDMENT is made and entered into by and between DESCHUTES
COUNTY ( "Lessor ") and ACCOUNTABLE BEHAVIORAL HEALTH ALLIANCE, ( "Lessee ").
WITNESSETH:
WHEREAS, Lessor and Lessee entered into a Lease (DC 2006 -454) with an effective date
of September 1, 2006, for approximately 2,300 square feet of office space, more or Tess, located at
1340 NW Wall Street, Bend, Oregon, Deschutes County; and
WHEREAS, Lessee and Lessor wish to extend the term of the lease;
NOW, THEREFORE, Lessor and Lessee agree that the Lease is hereby amended to read
as follows:
1. Section 1 "Term" is amended to read, "The original term of this Lease shall be effective
September 1, 2006, and shall continue through August 31, 2012, unless sooner
terminated as provided herein. Upon approval by Lessor, Lessee shall have option of
renewing Lease for another three years."
2. Section 6 "Restrictions on Use" is amended to read, "h) Comply with Lessor's policies
regarding smoking, parking, fragrances, facilities maintenance, facilities use and
violence in the workplace. Those policies are attached to this Agreement as Exhibit A
and by this reference are incorporated herein."
In all other respects the Lease shall be and remain in full force and effect.
