BACKGROUND AND POLICY IMPLICATIONS:
The purpose of this deed is to correct an error discovered by the cartography group. Deschutes County
took title to real property (Portions of Lots 1 and 2, Block 2, Bitterbrush Subdivision) by Warranty
Deed in 1970. It appears that the property was purchased for road purposes but never dedicated as
such. The planning and road departments agree that the parcel should be dedicated to the public fo •
road and utility purposes.

Staff recommends signature of Document 2009 -545.

DEED OF DEDICATION
Deschutes County, a political subdivision of the State of Oregon, Grantor, does hereby
dedicate to the public for roadway and utility purposes that parcel of land described in Exhibit
"A" attached hereto and by this reference incorporated herein.

A parcel of land to be used for road purposes, being in the Southerly portion of Lots One (1)
and Two (2), Block Two (2) BITTERBRUSH SUBDIVISION in Section Two (2), Township 15
(15) South, Range Ten (10) East, of the Willamette Meridian, Deschutes County, Oregon,
and being more particularly described as follows: Beginning at a point on the South line of
said Lot 2, which point is located South 89° 44' 47" East 206.94 feet from the Southwest
corner of said Lot 2; thence North 27° 32' 39" West 16.66 feet to a point being the beginning
of a curve to the left; thence along the arc of a 180 foot radius curve to the left 141.00 feet tc
the end of said curve, the long chord of which bears North 49° 59' 09" West 137.43 feet;
thence North 72° 25' 39" West 359.43 feet to a point which is the beginning of a 120 foot
radius curve to the right; thence continuing along said curve to the right 151.60 feet more or
less to a point being the end of said curve and being the end of the long chord of said curve
which bears North 36° 14' 24" West 141.70 feet from the point of beginning of said curve and
said point also being on the West line of said Lot 1; thence South 0° 3' 13" East 219.21 feet
along the West line of said Lot 1 to the Southwesterly corner of said Lot 1; thence along the
arc of an 80 foot radius curve to the right 93.92 feet, the long chord of said curve bears North
53° 54' 29" East 81.01 feet to the end of said arc; thence South 72° 25' 39" East 359.43 feet
to a point, being the beginning of a curve to the right, thence along the arc of a curve to the
right 79.32 feet to a point being the end of said curve and being the end of the long chord of
said curve which bears South 54° 11' 17" East 77.98 feet from the point of beginning of said
curve and said point also being on the Southerly line of said Lot 2; thence South 89° 44' 47"
East 67.83 feet to the point of beginning.

ACCEPTANCE
Deschutes County, acting by and through its Board of County Commissioners, does hereby
accept the foregoing Deed of Dedication as a public road pursuant to ORS 92.014.
