BACKGROUND AND POLICY IMPLICATIONS:
Consideration of Resolution #2009 -115, transfer of appropriation in the Deschutes County Public
Health Fund, to reduce the Personnel Category by $212,347 (2.70 FTE). Consisting of one Public
Health Nurse II, one Public Health Nurse III and one Senior Administrative Secretary position.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS:
A transfer of appropriation from Personnel to Contingency for $212,347 is required.
RECOMMENDATION & ACTION REQUESTED:
Approval and signature of Resolution #2009 -115.

Within the Various Funds of the 2009 -2010 * RESOLUTION NO. 2009 -115
Deschutes County Budget and Directing Entries *
WHEREAS, attached is a document from the Public Health Department requesting a transfer of
appropriations, and
WHEREAS it is necessary to transfer appropriations within the Deschutes County Budget to
accommodate the request; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF DESCHUTE 3
COUNTY, OREGON, as follows:

Attached please find an appropriation transfer regarding a reduction of 2.70 FTE to our
current Public Health budget. Per approval from Dave Kanner on August 10, 2009, he has
given us permission to permanently reduce our FTE for three unfilled positions.
