County Sheriffs Office Fund.

BACKGROUND AND POLICY IMPLICATIONS:
Consideration of Resolution #2009 -120, transfer of appropriation in the Deschutes County Sheriffs
Office Fund. A transfer of appropriation is necessary to reclassify an open Deputy Sheriff position in
the Patrol Department to an Administrative Lieutenant position in the Sheriffs Services Department.
This change was not anticipated at the time of the FY 2010 adopted budget.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS:
The reclassification of a Deputy Sheriff position to a Lieutenant position increases the Personnel
appropriation by $37,592.
RECOMMENDATION & ACTION REQUESTED:
Approval and signature of Resolution #2009 -120.

A transfer of appropriation is required for the following reason and will be used for the following purpose:
The budget for an open Patrol Deputy position in Department 3400 is transferred to Department 1700. The transfer will fund the
Administrative Lieutenant position in Department 1700. Budget dollars and the FTE authorized postion are being transferred.
