DATE: October 6, 2009 FROM: Marty Wynne Finance Phone # (541) 388 -6559 TITLE OF AGENDA ITEM: Consideration and signature of Resolution #2009 -121, transfer of appropriation in the Deschutes County Sheriffs Office Fund. PUBLIC HEARING ON THIS DATE? NO BACKGROUND AND POLICY IMPLICATIONS: Consideration of Resolution #2009 -121, transfer of appropriation in the Deschutes County Sheriffs Office Fund. The FY 2010 original budget included an appropriation for the purchase of ten Mobile Data Terminals (MDT) in the Materials & Service category of the Patrol Department. However, because the cost of these MDT's will exceed $5,000 each, the expenditure is properly considered to be Capital Outlay. An appropriation transfer from Materials & Service to Capital Outlay is therefore required. FISCAL IMPLICATIONS: A transfer of appropriation from Materials & Service to Capital Outlay in the Deschutes County Sheriffs Office Patrol Department for $51,000 is necessary.
