Re: Renewal of Industrial Land Certification for La Pine Industrial Site
Dear Mr. Williams:
Deschutes County is pleased to participate in the State's Industrial Site Certification program and
supports renewal of certification for the 77.80 -acre La Pine Industrial Site. We recognize the
importance of complete and reliable information about strategic industrial sites as a way to
facilitate the creation of family wage jobs in Deschutes County and throughout Oregon.
As a part of the Industrial Site Certification program , the La Pine Industrial Site is targeted for a
development as General Manufacturing and Warehouse /Distribution. The County supports these
categories of development which are outright permitted uses under current zoning ordinances.
City /County services and development fees as described in the original application are still
accurate. The information in the original application accurately describes the site. This is a
summary of our review:
1. Local Zoning Ordinance with letter and map
2. Planned, Pending or Ongoing Land Use letter
3. Water Supply Letter
4. Wastewater Letter
5. Emergency & Public Safety
6. Demographics & Workforce
7. Tax Incentives, SDC and development fees
8. Transportation

city. The County will expedite the permit processes to ensure that the development is expedited
at this site and can be completed within 180 days.
