Consideration and signature of Resolution #2009 -124, transfer of appropriations in the Behavioral
Health Fund.

BACKGROUND AND POLICY IMPLICATIONS:
Consideration of Resolution #2009 -124 transferring appropriations within the Behavioral Health Fund.
The Behavioral Health Department will increase Personnel by hiring a Mental Health Specialist I (1 00
FTE). This position will be responsible for providing case management to families with children who
have developmental disabilities.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS:
A transfer of appropriation from Contingency to Personnel in the amount of $59,491 is required.
RECOMMENDATION & ACTION REQUESTED:
Approval and signature of Resolution #2009 -124.

WHEREAS, attached is a request from the Behavioral Health Department requesting a transi �r
of appropriations, and
WHEREAS it is necessary to transfer appropriations within the Deschutes County Budget to
accommodate the request; now therefore,

Attached please find an appropriation transfer requesting the addition of 1.00 FTE to our
current Behavioral Health budget. Per approval from Dave Kanner on September 25, 200), he
has given us permission to permanently increase our MHS 2 total FTE. This position will be
responsible for providing case management to children with developmental disabilities and
their families.
This position will be recruited in October 2009 and hired in November 2009.
