Consideration and signature of Resolution #2009 -126, transfer of appropriations in the Behavioral
Health Fund.

BACKGROUND AND POLICY IMPLICATIONS:
Consideration of Resolution #2009 -126 transferring appropriations within the Behavioral Health Fund.
The Behavioral Health Department will increase Personnel by 1.00 FTE by hiring an additional Mental
Health Specialist II. This position will be responsible for coordinating current and future residential
treatment facilities.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS:
A transfer of appropriation from Contingency to Personnel in the amount of $68,298 is required.
RECOMMENDATION & ACTION REQUESTED:
Approval and signature of Resolution #2009 -126.

WHEREAS, attached is a request from the Behavioral Health Department requesting a transf r
of appropriations, and
WHEREAS it is necessary to transfer appropriations within the Deschutes County Budget .o
accommodate the request; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF DESCHUTFS
COUNTY, OREGON, as follows:

Attached please find an appropriation transfer requesting an increase of 1.00 FTE to our
current Behavioral Health budget. Per approval from Dave Kanner on September 25, 2009, he
has given us permission to permanently increase our MHS II FTE to recruit for a housing
specialist to coordinate our current and future residential treatment facilities.

A transfer of appropriation is required for the following reason and will be used for the following purpose:
Addition of a MHS II 1.00 FTE to be recruited for in October 2009. This position will be responsible for coordinating our current residential treatment facilities as well as the
facilities scheduled to open in the summer of 2010. Verbal approval from D. Kanner in a meeting on September 25, 2009.
