Consideration and signature of Resolution #2009 -127, transfer of appropriations in the Behavioral
Health Fund.

BACKGROUND AND POLICY IMPLICATIONS:
Consideration of Resolution #2009 -127 transferring appropriations within the Behavioral Health Fuad.
The Behavioral Health Department has the need to increase a .50 FTE Mental Health Specialist II tc a
.75 FTE. This position is responsible for Early Assessment & Support Alliance (EASA), which is
instrumental in identifying early psychotic breaks in children.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS:
A transfer of appropriation from Contingency to Personnel in the amount of $17,119 is required.
RECOMMENDATION & ACTION REQUESTED:
Approval and signature of Resolution #2009 -127.

WHEREAS, attached is a request from the Behavioral Health Department requesting a transfer.

WHEREAS it is necessary to transfer appropriations within the Deschutes County Budget .o
accommodate the request; now therefore,

Attached please find an appropriation transfer requesting an increase of .25 FTE to cur
current Behavioral Health budget. Per approval from Dave Kanner on September 25, 2009, he
has given us permission to permanently increase our MHS II, position #49, by an additional
.25 FTE for a total of .75 FTE for Darcy Gilbert - Bridwell.
The FTE increase is effective October 1, 2009.
