No BACKGROUND AND POLICY IMPLICATIONS: The Deschutes County Family Drug Court (DCFDC) is a court- supervised intensive treatmei t program, serving parents in Deschutes County who have had their children removed from their custody or are at risk of having their children removed as a result of substance abuse. The program includes but is not limited to the following services and expectations: frequent random drug testing, intensive drug and alcohol treatment, regular probation reporting, vocational rehabilitation, parent coaching, regular recovery group meetings, mental health therapy, health and wellness education and treatment as well as communicable disease testing and referral. Oregon Criminal Justice Commission grant supports personnel costs, alcohol and drug treatment services, child home visit;, drug testing and flexible funding. FISCAL IMPLICATIONS: Amendment 1 to the 2009 Grant Agreement extends the Grant Period to June 30, 2010 and increases funding by $195,253 for a maximum compensation of $252,349. RECOMMENDATION & ACTION REQUESTED: Behavioral Health recommends approval.
