TITLE OF AGENDA ITEM:
Consideration and signature of Resolution #2015-008, transfer of appropriation in the Deschutes
County Public Health Fund.
PUBLIC HEARING ON THIS DATE? NO
BACKGROUND AND POLICY IMPLICATIONS:
Consideration of Resolution #2015-008. The Public Health Department will remove one unfilled
Behavioral Health Specialist II (1.00 FTE) position. This position was added as an appropriation of the
School Based Health Care Expansion Grant. Instead, the County will contract with St. Charles to
provide these services.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS:
A transfer of appropriation from the Personnel category to the Materials & Services Category of
$71,475 is required.
RECOMMENDATION & ACTION REQUESTED:
Approval and signature of Resolution #2015-008.

Within the Various Funds of the 2014-2015 RESOLUTION NO. 2015-008 *
Deschutes County Budget and Directing Entries *
WHEREAS, attached is a request from the Public Health Department requesting a transfer of
appropriations, and
WHEREAS it is necessary to transfer appropriations within the Deschutes County Budget to
accommodate the request; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF DESCHUTES
COUNTY, OREGON, as follows:
Section 1. That the following transfers of appropriations be made:

Subject: PH appropriation transfer request -BHS II fte removal

Health Services currently has limited duration 1.0 BHS II budgeted in Fund 259 -Public Health Operations. This position
was added as a result of the School Based Health Center Expansion Grant. Effective January 1, 2015, we are requesting
the removal of this fte as the intent is to let St. Charles hire the position and invoice us for the expenses incurred on a
quarterly basis.
This BHS II authorization numbers is #6 in Fund 259, HSBEG.
Jane Smilie has received permission to process transactions of this type without needing specific permission from Tom
Anderon or Erik Kropp.
