Consideration and signature of Resolution #2015-011, transfer of appropriations in the Deschutes
County 911 County Service District's Operating Fund.

BACKGROUND AND POLICY IMPLICATIONS:
Consideration of Resolution #2015-01 L The Deschutes County 911 County Service District requires a
Public Safety System Specialist 1(1.00 FTE) in the system administration and maintenance area. This
position was not anticipated at the time of the FY 2015 budget adoption.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS:
A transfer of appropriation from Contingency Category to the Personnel Category of $113,019 is
required.
RECOMMENDATION & ACTION REQUESTED:
Approval and signature of Resolution #2015-011.

WHEREAS, attached is an e-mail from the Director of 911 Operations requesting a transfer of
appropriations, and
WHEREAS it is necessary to transfer appropriations within the Deschutes County 911 County
Service District Budget to accommodate the request; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF DESCHUTES
COUNTY, OREGON, ACTING AS THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE DESCHUTES COUNTY

A transfer of appropriation is required for the following reason and will be used for the following purpose:
The hiring of a new Public Safety System Specialist was approved by County Administrator Tom Anderson and authrorized by the.
County Commissioners. This position is intended to help relive a significant backlog of deferred system administration and maintenance.
(Position will be filled for six months of the fiscal year, but is budgeted for the entire fiscal year.)
