PUBLIC HEARING ON THIS DATE? NO BACKGROUND AND POLICY IMPLICATIONS: Consideration of Resolution #2008-125 transferring resources & appropriation from General Fund Contingency to the Crime Prevention Services Fund (Fund 115). The Board of County Commissioners authorized an additional $127,446 in resources to be appropriated to the Crime Prevention Services Fund. This requires an increase in the General Fund's Transfers Out category allowing for the transfer of resources from General Fund to Fund 115. This transfer gives Fund 115 authority to expend these resources for specific programs as follows: Family Trax $19,733, Ready -Set -Go $31,500, First Step $31,500 Functional Family Therapy $19,733 and Domestic Violence Diversion Supervision $25,000. FISCAL IMPLICATIONS: Appropriation will be transferred from the General Fund to the Crime Prevention Services Fund allowing for additional resources to be spent. By this resolution an additional $127,446 is authorized to be expended. RECOMMENDATION & ACTION REQUESTED: Approval and signature of Resolution #2008-125. Marty From: Ken Hales Sent: Tuesday, August 05, 2008 9:31 AM To: Marty Wynne Subject: Crime prevention fund As I recall Commissioner at the work session on the 30th Luke & Melton, Daly not present, agreed to have staff draft a resolution for the BoCC transferring $127,466 from contingency to the crime prevention fund for the purpose recommended below by the crime prevention fund steering committee. Attached is the letter of recommendation to the BoCC from me on this item. You may recall the crime prevention fund was one of the recommendations of the alternative to incarceration subcommittee. Mike Dugan moved that the committee recommend the Board of County Commissioners appropriate an additional $127,466 to the Crime Prevention Fund, for $82,733 to be provided to the Council on Children and Families and $44, 733 be provided to the Community Justice Department to finance the following programs or services in the amounts noted below. • Family Trax $19,733 • Ready -Set -Go $31,500 • First Step $31,500 • Functional Family Therapy $19, 733 • Domestic Violence Diversion Supervision $25,000 Thanks J.
