Organization Description: CERF is a 501(c)3 organization formed for the purpose of
providing accurate, timely economic data analysis. CERF releases quarterly economic forecasts
for the U.S. and Oregon and provides detailed annual forecasts for the Central Oregon area to
help all sectors of business and voernment stay ahead of the trends that will affect their
operations the most.

Project Description: Funds will be used to support the cost of the 4th Annual Central Oregon
Economic Forecast to be held on January 31, 2013 at the Riverhouse Convention Center in Bend.

1. CERF (Center for Economic Research and Forecasting) is a
501(c) (3) organization for the purpose of providing accurate,
timely economic data analysis. They release quarterly
economic forecasts for the US and Oregon and provide detailed
annual forecasts for the Central Oregon area to help all sectors
of business and government stay ahead of the trends that will
affect their operations the most. The team is lead by noted
economist Bill Watkins with team members Dan Hamilton and
Kirk Lesh.
2. The funds are to help with the cost of the 4th Annual Central
Oregon Economic Forecast on January 31, 2013 at the
Riverhouse Convention Center, Bend, OR
3. Timeline for completing the project is December.
4. This goal of this project is to become the premier event in the
Northwest US. We expect to draw people from all over Oregon /
Washington areas to Bend and generate revenue for local
restaurants/hotels/ etc.
5. Business owners and government officials will be provided with
accurate economic information and data to help them in
planning for their businesses. In addition, some of the
speakers will also be addressing how government can help
small businesses in Oregon.
6. Anticipated expenses are in the area of $50,000 with revenue
from sponsorships etc expected to be around $55,000
(depending on ticket sales). Expenses include advertising, and
Riverhouse costs.
