Mr. Mike Dugan

Bend, OR 97701
Dear Mike,
Do you know what the following facts have in common?
• In 1990 Nelson Mandela was released from prison after • Burt Reynolds & Eva Gabor were born this day
serving 27 1/2 years • In 1993, Janet Reno was the first woman
• In 1929, Vatican City became the world's smallest country nominated for US Attorney General
If you said that they all took place on February 11th, you're right! February 11th is also the date for the upcoming the 2011 Miller
Lumber Trivia Bee competition! As a former sponsor of the Trivia Bee, we hope you will consider joining us again!
First and foremost, we thank Miller Lumber Company for being the Title Sponsor for the fourth consecutive year. Miller Lumber
Company has proudly served Central Oregon for 100 years!
The Education Foundation for Bend -La Pine Schools also extends gratitude to Bend Research for their continued support as our
Scoreboard Sponsor.
We welcome back defending champions, the Skyline Dental Spit Suckers who won both the trivia and clever name awards for
2010...take the tasteful trivia trophy to your team headquarters this year!
We are currently seeking Media Sponsors, Round Sponsors, Team Sponsors (and their teams!) as well as audience members to
make this the best Trivia Bee ever. Where else can you share your knowledge of useless information and support local schools?
The benefits of sponsorship are described in the enclosed information sheet.
The Trivia Bee is the signature fundraising event for the Education Foundation for the Bend -La Pine Schools. It gamers approximately
$35,000 each year to fund district -wide Classroom Grants benefiting thousands of local stude; ts. For the past three years, the
classroom grants have provided tools for teachers with an emphasis on technology, art & music enrichment programs and promoted
volunteerism in our schools.
We thank you for your thoughtful consideration and we look forward to hearing from you!
Sincerely,
Heather Vihstadt,
Executive Director
