Organization: Central Oregon Police Chaplaincy
Organization Description: This organization provides chaplain and critical incident
stress management services to all emergency service agencies and their employees in
Deschutes, Jefferson and Crook Counties. Through this organization, chaplains make
personal contact with local emergency responders, provide comfort to families of crime
victims, marriage and pre -marriage counseling, debrief traumatic incidents. The services
provided reduces agency liability by insuring that emergency service workers are
mentally healthy and emotionally strong in stressful situations.
Project Name: 8th Annual Central Oregon Police Chaplaincy Dinner and Auction
Project Description: This annual event is a fundraiser for the organization. The purpose
is to educate the community about the outreach and raise funds for the general operations
budget. Continued funding will provide opportunities to enhance services including
additional paid chaplains, ongoing education, vehicle and fuel expenses, and services
such as marriage seminars.

The Central Oregon Police Chaplaincy (COPC) provides non-
denominational ministry and support to over 1,130 Emergency Services
personnel, their families and the public throughout Deschutes
Jefferson & Crook Counties. COPC Chaplains are called upon to assist
local emergency responders with on scene support for all crisis
intervention such as death notifications. suicides, shootings, drownings,
motor vehicle accidents and other traumatic incidents. COPC Chaplains
provide critical incident debriefing and defusing following a critical
incident. Our Chaplains are a witness of strength and a walking
example of faith providing care and support to the people they come into
contact with. In 2010 COPC assisted emergency response workers and
the public with over 250 critical incident situations. COPC Chaplains
perform visits to assist In healing and support ministry, conduct marriage
and family counseling, and officiate wedding ceremonies and funerals.
It is important for emergency services and the citizens to have the
support of a chaplain available to them during an hour of need. This
valuable ministry Is committed to helping our emergency responders
and their families maintain healthy relationships to enhance and prolong
their careers. to provide a greater service and protection to our
communities.
We want to Invite you to attend and support our 8th Annual COPC
Dinner and Auction on Friday, May 6th, 2011, at 5:00 PM at the
Christian Life Center, 21720 E Highway 20 in Bend. This year's
auction has a western theme, Let's Ride!' Tickets for the
Dinner/Auction are $25 per person. COPC is asking businesses and
individuals to donate items or services to be auctioned at this event.
Here is how you can get involved:
1. Corporate Sponsors - Make a $1,000 or more cash donation as a
sponsor for the event. These funds will help cover aur expenses
acquired by the event. Corporate Sponsors will be given 2 tables
(seating for 16) with 32 tickets for the drawing, reserved seating,
recognition in the auction booklet and pre -advertising, recognition
(including website link) on our website, and recognition in a thank you
ad in the Bend Bulletin.
2. Table Sponsors - Purchase a table `seating for 8) for $400. This
will give you reserved seating, recognition in our auction booklet, 16
tickets for the drawing, recognition (including website link) on aur
website and recognition 1n a thank you ad In the Bend Bulletin. We
encourage businesses to purchase a table sponsor and then invite 8
peoplelemployees to attend the event,
3. Auction Item Donations - Make a donation of an item or service to
be auctioned off at the event. There is a silent and oral auction,
therefore we are looking for donations with a variety of value, We
auction items such as vacations, golf packages, weekend getaways,
jewelry, fishing trips, dinners, art, photography, various kinds of services
and other fun items. The business or individual names will be listed in
the auction booklet as a donator and a thank you ad in the Bend Bulletin
after the event.
Providing a donation for this auction is an excellent way to support this
great ministry. The Central Oregon Police Chaplaincy is a non-profit
public benefit (Tax ID 93-1244225); therefore a donation is tax
