We are in dire need of a Commercial Washing Machine and Dryer. We have a huge amount of laundry to do on a daily basis, and the ordinary residential machines do not last long. The installation of Commercial machines would save the Shelter money with the savings of Staff Time and power costs. Four times the amount of laundry can be done in one load compared to the residential machines. We would be able to use Gas instead of electricity which would be a big savings also. Our time line would be ASAP. We have needed these types of machines for some time but could never afford them. Impact to the Community: Since our shelter provides a great public service by housing lost and unwanted dogs, cats, and other animals, these machines would be a great addition to our facility. The Budget for this request is $10,000.00 for the Washers and dryers, and approximately $2000. To run a new gas line to the Utility Room where they will be housed. Thank you for your consideration. Mike Daly President, Humane Society of Redmond.
