The purpose of this document is to outline topics of discussion and actions by the Committee. Members Present: Cheryl Howard, Greg Svelund, Wendy Holzman, Bill Braly, Michelle DeSilva, Mary Barron, Rick Root, David Olsen, Scott Ferguson Agency: Matt Martin, Deschutes County; Robin Lewis, City of Bend; Scott Woodford, City of Redmond; Steve Jorgensen, Bend Parks and Rec; Stan Nowakowski, Jefferson County SRTS; Joni Bramlett, ODOT; Chris Cheng, ODOT Business: Tom Headley, Century West Engineering; Jim Pex, Century West Engineering; Jessie Rykels Wilson, HDR Engineering Call to Order Meeting was called to order at 12:00 p.m. Introductions Approval of Prior Minutes December 3, 2015, meeting minutes were unanimously approved as drafted. Mapping and how to potentially collaborate GIS files from various agencies on a Google Earth platform, Jim Pex and Tom Headley, Century West Engineering Jim and Tom provided a presentation on the topic. They highlighted the difference between GIS mapping and Keyhole Markup Language (KML/KMZ) files and how Century West is using KMZ information. Examples included the overlay of construction drawings and geolocated construction photographs using Google Earth were shown. Applicability to BPAC was discussed with example and ideas included using unique City of Bend and Deschutes County GIS data and integrating into common output point in Google Earth. BPAC Business Annual Report: The draft report distributed. Prineville information will be added when submitted. Edits were requested. The report will be finalized soon. Committee Updates:  City of Bend “sounding board” committee formed to develop meaningful messaging to engage the community and obtain feedback regarding safety improvement projects. 2  COACT meeting is coming up. State officials will be in attendance to discuss the update to the Oregon Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan. Updates Bend: 14th Street project details and limitations were discussed. Sisters: An updated to the City Transportation Systems Plan (TSP) is planned and a technical advisory committee will be formed to participate. Redmond: The City BPAC is implementing work plan; City adopted trails amenity plan; A 15th street connection project is in development to connect schools to parks and make it more pedestrian/cyclist friendly; Multiple master plan development projects have been submitted that include a variety of transportation options and designs including multi-use paths. ODOT: The Oregon Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan meeting scheduled for January 21st at 4:00pm at the Bend MPO office; The Transportation Safety Action Plan (TSAC) meeting scheduled for January 22nd at 12:30pm at ODOT offices in Bend; The Region 4 office is hiring an active transportation liaison. Other regions throughout the state are recruiting for the same position. Bend Parks and Recreation District: The Colorado Avenue undercrossing and the Pavilion ice rink are open; The District is pursuing a Regional Trails Planning (RTP) grant to evaluate several corridors and crossings throughout the community including trails along the river and canals; Working with a group of planners to develop a session on signage plans to be presented at the Active Transportation Summit. Open Floor The committee discussed reviewing the Oregon Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan as a group and consideration of submitting comments. A meeting will be schedule. Joint Road User Safety Task Force (RUSTF) is considering restructuring to include new members and organizations. Announcement of changes will be made in the future. Adjournment at 1:04pm
