The purpose of this document is to outline topics of discussion and actions by the Committee. Members Present: Greg Svelund, Mark Smith, Bill Braly, Mary Barron, Rick Root, Scott Ferguson, Christopher Cassard, Wendy Holzman Agency: Matt Martin, Deschutes County; Dan Serpico, ODOT; Chris Cheng, ODOT; Jovi Anderson, Bend MPO; Morgan Crowell, City of Redmond; Brian Potwin, Commute Options; Christopher Blake, City of Bend-Streets Businesses: Tom Headley, Century West Engineering; Alec Fransen, Century West Engineering; Scott Beaird, Kittleson & Associates; Jacki Gulezynski, Kittleson & Associates Guests: Dave Thomson, Elizabeth Oshel Call to Order Meeting was called to order at 12:00 p.m. Introductions Ap proval of Prior Minutes November 2016 meeting minutes were unanimously approved as drafted. Roundabouts Tour, Kenna Sneed Kenna provided an overview of her project and interest in partnering with area organizations and agencies. She is also looking for support and a fiscal agent such as nonprofit or government entity that is needed for the submission of a 2017 Travel Oregon grant application. Discussion followed. Move Bend, Erin Foote Morgan Erin provided a PowerPoint presentation with an overview of a new coalition in development to building public support and funding for transportation improvements. Discussion followed. Bill suggested including an agenda item for next month’s BPAC meeting to further discuss involvement of BPAC. BPAC Business Annual Goal Review Chris Cussard provided an overview of the subcommittee ’s review of the BPAC goals and 2 recommended amendments. Wendy Holtzman provided other comments. ACTION: Rick moved approval of goals as amended. Mary seconded motion. Motion was unanimously approved. Annual Report Mary Barron will prepare the report. As a second item, Rick Root volunteered to updated committee/subcommittee list. Committee Updates Rick Root, Mary Barron, and Dan Serpico attended a meeting of a committee working on road safety audit in area of the Old Bend-Redmond Highway corridor. They provided an overview of the project and meeting. Additional meetings are planned. Bill Braly provided a report on recent COACT meeting. Bend to Lava Lands trail connection open house planned for December. Develop calendar/messaging for 2017 Bill Braly led discussion regarding approval of 2017 calendar. ACTION: Chris moved approval of 2017 including Jefferson County Tri County Summit in October and future addition of Open Streets. Mary seconded Motion. Motion was unanimously approved. BPAC Vacancies Chris led discussion of subcommittee evaluation of candidates and recommendations for appointment. Recruitment for Sisters representative will continue given limited respon se. Updates South County: Scott Morgan expressed thanks for attending Tri County Summit in La Pine. La Pine TSP update is coming. Rick raised topic of changes within the Sunriver Business Park and he will follow up. Bend: Jovi Anderson announced Bend maintained Silver Bike Friendly Community designation and provided an overview of needed steps to achieve Gold designation. Redmond: Redmond BPAC network plan to be approved soon. Commute Options: Several program updates and announcements were made including Bend Open Streets is happening in 2017. Open Floor Scott Morgan asked if a bike/ped dedicated position for Deschutes County. An agenda item to discuss will be included for January meeting.
