OrganizaƟon camp is an ensemble of 11 log cabins and a lodge, sƟll standing in their original seƫng and unified by site plan, materials, form and size. The cabins and lodge were constructed during the depression era by various amateur builders. The buildings were the result of cooperaƟve design and construcƟon by nonprofessional builders. They are a true expression of vernacular buildings. Such camp buildings are important in Oregon’s recreaƟonal history as an unusual expression of both its rusƟc style and its vernacular tradiƟons.
