Major issues:
1. Property Appearance / Public Safety: Neighbors frustrated by property owners who do
not maintain the appearance of their property. Several cited properties filled with junk
and trash as a public nuisance. Other examples included absentee owners who do not
manage vegetation on their property to reduce their risk of wildfire.
2. Bicycle Safety: Narrow shoulders on roads serving Caldera Springs and Crosswater are a
safety hazard for bicyclists.
3. Maxwell Veterans Memorial and General Patch Bridges: Located near Big River
Campground, do not have enough parking spaces for cars, causing a safety hazards for
drivers and pedestrians. The Maxwell Bridge carries South Century Drive over the
Deschutes River.
