ORDINANCE NO. 81-006 EPK
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners held public
hearings on October 29, 1980, and December 15, 1980, relating to
amendments to the Zoning Ordinance of the Bend Urban Area of Deschutes
County, Oregon; and
WHEREAS, it was recommended that plant nurseries be a con-
ditional use in all residential zones; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners adopted amend-
ments to the Zoning Ordinance of the Bend Urban Area of Deschutes
County, Oregon, on December 18, 1980; and
WHEREAS, plant nurseries were not allowed as a conditional
use in residential zones in the amendments as adopted; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing relating to the inclusion of
plant nurseries as a conditional use in residential zones was held
on February 4, 1981; now, therefore,
THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF DESCHUTES COUNTY,
OREGON, ORDAINS that Ordinance No. PL -11, the Zoning Ordinance of
the Bend Urban Area of Deschutes County, Oregon, be amended as
follows:
Section 1. Section 10, Urban Area Reserve Zone (UAR-10),
Subsection (3), Conditional Uses, is amended by the addition of
Subsection (q), which reads as follows:
"q. Plant nurseries, subject to Section 26(18)."
Section 2. Section 12, Suburban Low Density Residential
Zone (SR -22), Subsection (3), Conditional Uses, is amended by the
addition of Subsection (1), which reads as follows:
"1. Plant nurseries, subject to Section 26(18)."
Section 3. Section 13, Urban Low Density Residential
Zone (RL), Subsection 3, Conditional Uses, is amended by the
addition of Subsection (o), which reads as follows:
"o. Plant nurseries, subject to Section 26(18)."

Section 4. Section 14, Urban Standard Residential Zone
(RS), Subsection 3, Conditional Uses, is amended by the addition
of Subsection (r), which read as follows:
"r. Plant nurseries, subject to Section 26(18)."
Section 5. This Ordinance being necessary for the immediate
preservation of public peace, health and safety, an emergency is
declared to exist, and this Ordinance takes effect on its passage.
