ORDINANCE NO. 81-018
WHEREAS, Deschutes County anticipates a revenue shortfall
for the 1980-81 fiscal year; and
WHEREAS, insufficient revenues will be available for the
operation of County General Fund Departments on a five -day -a -week
basis; and
WHEREAS, in order to balance the 1980-81 fiscal budget,
hours of operation must be reduced; and
WHEREAS, ORS 203.03.5 allows the County to exercise authority
within the County over matters of County concern, to the fullest
extent allowed by Constitutions and laws of the United States and of
this State; now, therefore,
THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF DESCHUTES COUNTY,
OREGON, ORDAINS as follows:
Section 1. That from April 24, 1981, until June 30, 1981,
Deschutes County s all be open for business Monday through Thursday
of each week, except as provided in Section 2 of this Ordinance.
Section 2. That the Board of County Commissioners may
establish days of operation for any Deschutes County Department that
are different from those days described in Section 1 of this Ordinance.
Section 3. That signs shall be posted at or near all door-
ways to Deschutes tes County Buildings, showing the days of..operation.
Section 4. That this Ordinance being necessary for the
immediate preservation of public peace, health and safety, an emergency
is declared to exist, and this Ordinance takes effect on its passage.
